this month is a time of bogus bull shit money spending bafoons love to call x-mas.
Im not a bible thumper or nothin i just think its abso-fucking-lutely dumb to spend as much money as possible before debt on stuff no one needs. (this coming from a teenage middle class white girl) See when my boyfriend of over half a year asked me what i wanted for Christmas i say simple "to see you smile and cuddle up with you on a couch and watch a movie" I want love. easy simple. something you cant put in a box but isn't hard to find. I dont want a new ipod cause its the latest thing i don't want guitar hero 3 nor fancy pretties to put around my neck wrist or fingers. I don't care. material objects get me nothing. Isnt December 25th to celebrate the birth of the one who saved us all? yes its a reminder to be nicer to everyone around its a good time to spend with family and friends but does that mean you have to go the whole 16 extra miles with the lights and the tree? turns out that dude in the red suit that leaves shit under my fake tree melting from the major amount of little colored lights was really just my dad having way to much time on his hands.
so all i really want to say about this holiday x-mas is enjoy it not over exaggerate it. when i have kids I'm not taking him/her to sit on some douche's lap at the mall just for them to get this idea that some old fat dude can break the laws of physics and fit down a little chimney to leave a bus load of toys under some fake tree in the middle of my fucking living room. Spend the day remembering the good times with family (meaning don't star fights about something thats totally not worth the trouble) you don't need to spend the most money to be the most popular on of the family and don't forget why you are celebrating. Its for joy not materials so sit down shut up and enjoy the freakin eggnog.
